I was born in Georgia but spent most of my formative years in the Dallas, Texas area.  I attended Wesley College where I met my wife Tracey.  I have a BS in Christian Ministry from Wesley College; BA in History and Secondary Education from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and an MA in Social Sciences from the University of West Alabama.  I was a youth pastor in Jackson, MS for 6 years and have been lead pastor at Madison Nazarene for the last 13 years.  Tracey and I have three children (and one son-in-law): Our daughter Reagen (Elementary school teacher), her husband Connor, and our two sons, Seth (working full-time and part-time student at Calhoun Community College), and Aaron (Eighth grader at Liberty Middle School).

If you spend any time with me you will find out that I love sports and movies.  God did not bless me with much ability to play sports, but he did give me a great appreciation for sports. My favorite teams are Atlanta United, Braves, Falcons, and Hawks, Georgia Bulldogs, and Arsenal. Some of my favorite movies are: On the Waterfront, Shawshank Redemption, Star Wars (original trilogy), Raiders of the Lost Ark, 12 Monkeys, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Sunset Blvd, and Rear Window.

If I could vacation anywhere in the world, I would go to Europe.  As a student of history, Europe is a must visit location.  I would love to see the museums, castles, churches, and the other attractions. I don’t really watch much prime time TV because, with the exception of sporting events, my kids or wife have control of the TV.  With that being said, I watch a lot of shows on the Disney channel and on the Hallmark Network.  The book I am currently reading is "Incarnate" by Michael Frost.

Like most people I am a transplant into North Alabama.  Born in Upstate New York, I have lived in several different states. Finally found my piece of heaven on earth when my family and I settled in Alabama in 2000.

I am married to Beth and have two sons, Zach and Braden.  Beth is a software engineer. Zach and Brayden are both now married and live and work in Birmingham, AL and St. Louis, MO with their families.

I am a 2000 graduate of Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, CO.  I am also an Ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene.  I have served on staff at churches in Castle Rock, Co; Cullman, AL; and Huntsville, AL. Currently I serve Madison Nazarene on a bi-vocational basis.  I run my own contracting business and serve the church part-time.

When I'm not working my favorite hobby is to head to Smith Lake with the family and enjoy some water sports.  I also enjoy playing golf, though I rarely have time to play these days.

I love being a part of what God is doing in Madison, AL.  I have the privilege of working with some talented and commited musicians to lead our worship on a weekly basis.  I am humbled to think that God could use me to make His glory known.
